"Howdy. I'm John Nuanes, a landscape gardener based in Stockholm. Although I'm originally from the USA, I am a long-time world traveller who has been living in Stockholm for the last 32 years. I have 23 years experience working with outside spaces. The last ten I've worked under my own company mainly designing and building outdoor spaces primarily for private customers in the Stockholm area.
What I design, I build
My ground philosophy is that I am not designing and landscaping my own garden, but your garden. My role is to understand your vision and needs – even when un-stated. I listen to what you have to say and mean. I then apply my practical and aesthetic experience to create your unique garden. I do not create fancy drawings that don't work in practice. What I design, I can build.
My aim is to create harmony and balance between the practical and aesthetic, the organic and inorganic elements of your outdoor spaces to ensure a satisfying whole.
I don't just rely on my own knowledge and experience; I regularly have contact with a network of technical and gardening professionals to expand, update and dialogue my ongoing work.
I believe that the planting in a garden should as much as possible be composed in such a way that it evolves all year round with or without flowers, and in harmony with the the surrounding environment.

I find it personally gratifying to reuse already existing elements and materials found in your garden. This adds a spontaneous moment to the ongoing creative process and helps make your garden unique.
